This is one of the very first things that you have to prepare after being invited to the interview. Knowing about our vision, mission, value, and products, etc. definitely gives you a broader view of our organization. Apart from showing how much you care about the organization you are applying for, it is essential that you clarify WHY you choose us instead of other NGOs/companies.
In addition, it is crucial that you keep yourself updated about our hiring process, as well as our candidate evaluation criteria – which is about to be revealed right below.
Our hiring process consists of 5 rounds:
These rounds help us effectively evaluate if the applicant is ready to take on the challenge of being one of our next dedicated members.
Among many criteria of the candidate selection process, which one we have used at STEAM for Vietnam? Let us share with you the IASK!
IASK stands for: Intelligence, Attitude, Skills, and Knowledge.
We believe that a potential candidate that will help us rock the show is someone who is a fast learner and hungry for more knowledge. Besides, s/he should be able to think out of the box and turn data into comprehensive information.
As a fast-pace and young organization, we have realized that the above attitudes are our key to success and bring us this far. If you are willing to take on new challenges, passionate about what you do, and are able to commit to the team vision, then STEAM for Vietnam is definitely a good place for you to be.
Moreover, we expect our members to have certain skills to perform best at their tasks. Required skills vary based on your applied position, but the must-have includes technical skills and communication skills..
In order to be our next game changers, it is important that you obtain necessary knowledge about STEAM in general as well as your expertise.
Since the whole hiring process aims to enable us to know more about each other, it is essential that you thoroughly understand who you are and how you can be our new superstar. Here are the suggestions of what you should prepare.
Before the interview, do not forget to review your CV again and practice answering the frequently asked questions to familiarize yourself with the interview process. Also, have a list of questions to ask the employers ready. This will help you to better understand the organization as well as demonstrate your willingness to know more about it.
It is best to be honest about your skills, strengths, and weaknesses because interviewers may ask you to demonstrate those qualifications in the interview and could question you if anything does not look right . Lies and exaggeration do you no good but leave a bad impression about yourself.
Be sure that you pay attention to the interviewers to fully understand the questions, if not, ask for clarification right away. Also, having a pen and a paper to capture all the detailed information which is provided is a plus point.
Even though the interview is conducted online, you are suggested to show up at least 10 minutes before the interview. This gives you time to prepare yourself better. Also, if there are any technical issues , you still can manage to solve them and show up at the interview in time.
We hope that with these tips, your interviewer at STEAM for Vietnam is no longer a challenge anymore!
